A rule of thumb is 30-35 LBS of bison needs 1 cubic foot of storage.

• 1/8 Bison Share: Needs about 1.5 - 2.0 cubic feet. Fits comfortably in a standard fridge-freezer compartment.

• Quarter Bison Share: Requires roughly 3.5 - 4.0 cubic feet. Fits in a small chest or upright freezer.

• Half Bison Share: Needs around 6 - 8 cubic feet. Suitable for a large chest or upright freezer.

• Whole Bison: Requires approximately 14 - 16 cubic feet. Best accommodated in a large chest or upright freezer.

When you reserve an animal share, it is specifically set aside for you, and your deposit is crucial in this process. The non-refundable deposit helps us manage our herd sustainably, coordinate processing dates with our USDA-inspected butcher, and arrange shipping with our partner, Periship. This planning ensures that we deliver a premium, high-quality bison product.

Bison has a limited shelf life, so it’s vital that we deliver your share promptly after processing, allowing you up to a year to enjoy it. If a customer does not complete the second payment, we face the challenge of quickly finding a new buyer to avoid wastage. We deeply respect our animals and strive to ensure that none are wasted.

We appreciate your understanding of the importance of this policy.

We like to keep things simple. You can pay your deposit and remaining balance via cash (if you're close), venmo, credit cards, and debit cards. Easy, secure, and flexible so you can snag your share without a hassle.

Yes, you will know the total cost of your bison share at the time of your order. No surprise fees, no mystery math—just straightforward numbers so you can plan your freezer and your budget.

We send you emails as the shipping date approaches to keep you updated. The balance is due before your shipping date or upon pick-up if you choose to collect directly from our ranch. Please note that we cannot ship your bison until we receive the final payment.

Deposits are nonrefundable, but once your share is delivered, we want you to be thrilled with your bison. If there’s ever an issue with your order (we hope there isn’t, but hey—life happens), reach out to us and we’ll work with you. We’re here to make sure your freezer—and your family—is stocked with premium meat.

We ship our bison frozen using insulated box liners and frozen gel packs to ensure it remains solidly frozen during transit. No matter where you live, your order will arrive fresh and frozen.

Yep, we can ship a whole bison! It will arrive in multiple boxes, each weighing around 60 lbs. Depending on the temperatures, we use frozen gel packs to keep the bison frozen during transit. We partner with Periship, a company that specializes in shipping perishable items nationwide, to ensure your bison arrives in perfect condition.

No signature is required for delivery, so you don’t need to be home when your order arrives. You will know when it is set to arrive. Each box is packed with frozen gel packs or ice to keep your bison products fresh until you’re able to unbox them.
